State Vision News Service Jammu, Sept. 3 Ram Madhav, the point man for the Bharatiya Janata Party BJP , traveled to Jammu for a while before coming to Srinagar on Tuesday. While there, he addressed the grievances of party members who were not happy with the way the mandates were distributed. Upon arriving in Srinagar, Madhav greeted Er Aijaz Hussain, the BJP s nominee for the politically crucial Lal Chowk Assembly seat, with great affection. Social media users are sharing a video of Er Aijaz welcoming Madhav in Srinagar. The controversial claim made by National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah that Madhav has ties to the PDP and may still be in contact with them coincides with Madhav s trip in Kashmir. A senior BJP politician who quit the NC three years ago, Devender Singh Rana, added to the issue by claiming that in 2014, a delegation from the NC led by Omar Abdullah approached Delhi in an attempt to form an alliance with the BJP. The group even hinted that the NC was amenable to having a Hindu Chief Minister in JK. The BJP high command has called for Madhav to return for a Mission JK in advance of the pivotal Assembly elections, which take place in three stages starting on September 18.
Madhav was regarded as the BJP s authority on J K matters and played a key role in the 2014 PDP BJP coalition negotiations. Even though he lost his job as general secretary in 2020, he was offered a big new responsibility at JK. A senior BJP leader, familiar with Madhav s mission that Madhav has been assigned a critical task. His job is to ensure the BJP s slogan of ab ki baar 50 paar is achieved, he said, speaking on the condition of anonymity. He has a plan from the party high command which he is diligently following. In Jammu, Madhav played a crucial role in maintaining party unity amidst growing tensions over mandate distribution.
