State Vision News Service Samba, Nov. 8 Deputy Commissioner Samba Rajesh Sharma today chaired a meeting in the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex, Nandani Hills, to assess the progress of ongoing bunker construction and Border Area Development Programme BADP projects in the district. The meeting focused on reviewing both the physical and financial progress of these projects, which are essential for improving infrastructure and security in border areas. At the outset, Chief Planning Officer Kasturi Lal provided a detailed briefing on the current status and milestones of the projects. Executive Engineers XENs from the Public Works R B Department of Samba and Vijaypur divisions, and the REW Samba, presented their specific requirements, outlining budget needs to ensure smooth project execution. Addressing these concerns, DC Sharma assured the officers that he would engage with higher authorities to secure the necessary funds, emphasizing that the financial constraints would not hinder the progress of these critical projects. The DC also directed the officers to stay in regular communication with their respective contractors to address any public requirements promptly. He stressed the importance of resolving issues in the field in a timely manner to ensure the projects meet community needs effectively.
