State Vision News Service Samba, July 23 The District Administration Samba, under the supervision of District Commissioner DC Abhishek Sharma, organized a highly successful program to mark the launch of the JK Samadhan portal. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the general public, highlighting the community s keen interest in leveraging digital solutions for efficient governance. The program featured a live address by the Lieutenant Governor from SKICC, which was streamed to the attendees at the Conference Hall in Samba. The Lt Governor s address emphasized the significance of the JK Samadhan portal in streamlining grievance redressal and enhancing public service delivery across the UT. The event was attended by a diverse audience, including members of the general public and various officers, who gathered to celebrate this significant step towards digital governance. The launch of the JK Samadhan portal is expected to bring about greater transparency, accountability, and efficiency in addressing the concerns of the residents of Samba and beyond. DC expressed gratitude to the participants and highlighted the district administration s commitment to adopting innovative technologies to better serve the people. Meanwhile, As per the Action plan for the month of July, 2024 issued by Jammu Kashmir Legal Services Authority and also under the guidance of Adnan Sayeed, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority and Pr. District and Sessions Judge, Samba, District Legal Services Authority, Samba today organized a legal awareness program on Domestic Violence and Inheritance Rights at Government Higher Secondary School Ghagwal, Samba, wherein Shivali Sharma, Newly Selected Civil Judge Junior Division was the resource person who shared her expertise. The core mission of the awareness programme under District Legal Services Authority, Samba was to provide legal awareness to the students with respect to the different provisions of both the Protection of women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 and Hindu Succession Amendment Act, 1955 along with its Amendments. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Versha Anthal, Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel Samba. The program was attended by students, faculty members of Government Higher Secondary School Ghagwal Samba and Para Legal Volunteers of District Legal Services Authority Samba.
