Former deputy chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and chairman of the J K BJP Manifesto Committee Dr. Nirmal Singh stated at a news conference that the upcoming elections are extraordinary considering the high turnout for the just completed Lok Sabha elections. Dr. Singh continued, These elections are a success of India and its constitution, adding that Pakistan, the neighboring nation, had been attempting to stifle the process in Jammu and Kashmir. The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve our sincere gratitude for their tremendous turnout for the election. Detailing about the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi s Srinagar visit, Dr. Singh said that the PM Modi would arrive in Srinagar on September 19 as part of the election campaigning of the party here.
